		Wendi Davies Wendi was owner and operator of Ballroom on Fifth studio in NYC for 10 years. 973.449.7654 - Cell 973.325.1399 - Home & Fax Wendi began dancing while in college studying architecture. A competitive swimmer for many years, she was looking for a new competitive outlet. The daughter of dancing parents, she soon learned of the competitive and athletic nature of Ballroom Dancing. In her amateur career she was ranked third in the United States. She turned professional in 1991 and went on to be ranked second at the United States Championships, and was the winner of "Championship Ballroom Dancing" the popular show on PBS. She was a finalist at the French Open, the British Open and the US Open Championships and was ranked 13th in the world. Wendi is a member of the U.S. Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance and is Licentiate in both Standard and Latin dancing. Wendi teaches regularly at Ballroom off Fifth in NYC and Rogers DanceSport in NJ as well as traveling to coach and judge.
